About Blondie
Blondie broke up in in October 1982, when Chris Stein, who founded Blondie together with Debbie Harry, became seriously ill with a genetic disease. He eventually recovered. In 1988, Blondie rebanded, and had a big hit in the European charts with the single "Maria." It seemed that people still wanted to hear from them after so long.
